Teaching Assistant at Columbia Grange School
Grade 3 (SCP 7-11). Annual Salary £25, 584 - £27, 269 (actual starting salary pro rata £22, 007)
37 hours per week – term time only
The CEO and Trust Board of Oak Learning Trust seek to recruit adaptable and dedicated teaching assistants, to join our trust at Columbia Grange School. This is a primary specialist provision catering for the needs of autistic pupils aged five to eleven, with a diagnosis of Severe Learning Difficulties and who have an Education, Health and Care Plan.
Whilst this position is based at Columbia Grange, all appointments will be to Oak Learning Trust, and movement between Trust Schools may be expected in the future.
The successful candidates will:
- Be outstanding and reflective practitioners with high expectations of themselves for all children.
- Be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3.
- Be proficient and knowledgeable in supporting children with special education needs and disabilities.
- Have an effective working knowledge of the curriculum and a good understanding or the principals of child development and learning process.
- Is able to contribute to wider school life.
Lunchtime Assistant at Columbia Grange School
Salary: Grade 1 (point 3 – 4) pro rata
Hours/week: 15 hours (Term Time Only 39 weeks – school open 38 weeks plus 5 days inset training days to be worked) – 11:00am to 14:00pm (3 hours per day)
The children, staff and trustees of this vibrant and friendly primary school are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic lunchtime assistant who is able to work in a variety of settings and is flexible on a day-to-day basis. You will supervise pupils during midday break, in the lunch hall and on the school yard. You will need to be comfortable working with children from reception age through to Year 6.

Office Admin Support at Oak Learning Trust
Contract type: Permanent, term time + 2 weeks (41 weeks)
Salary: Grade 2, SCP 5 – 6 (pro-rata)
Working pattern: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm Friday 8.30am to 4pm
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Office Administration Support person to work between two of our Trust Schools in Washington. You will be friendly, committed and able to use your own initiative while working within the office and reception areas, undertaking financial, administrative and school support duties as required.
