We have set up an enterprise group with some of our blue pathway pupils. They have been working hard to come up with a business plan to set up a snack shop in school. Over the past few weeks they have decided on the shop name 'Super Great Goodies @ Columbia Grange' and have designed a logo and a poster to promote their shop.
The idea is to sell healthy snacks as well as treats to their peers and staff in school with an aim to make a profit.
The children will learn essential skills such as team work, organisational skills, money skills, planning ahead as well as problem solving and customer service. Every child is involved using their individual strengths to contribute to the set up and running of the shop.

The grand opening of the snack shop was a huge success, with children from all pathways coming to buy a little treat. Our shopkeepers did so well serving our customers with a smile and making sure everyone got what they wanted, well done to our Enterprise children from Navy class for offering service with a smile. A huge well done to all children and staff for taking turns and communicating what they wanted so clearly! We can't wait to serve everyone again next Monday!
Monday 3rd of July will be our last day for opening the school snack shop this school year. Super Great Goodies @ Columbia Grange has been a great success and something that the whole school have been able to get involved with.
The children from Navy class worked really hard to set it up and to run it every week, and so will be rewarded with the profits they have made by a trip to the cinema and McDonald's the week after.
We will be keeping the shop going in September!
