Class 9 - Animal Shelter Visit
Recently the children in Class 9 went to visit 'Bryson's Animal Shelter' in Gateshead as part of their topic ‘Paws, Claws and Whiskers’.
The animal shelter provide temporary care and shelter for stray, abandoned and relinquished animals, and place as many as possible into responsible and caring homes.
The children really enjoyed visiting the animals in the shelter, they managed to meet Rusty, Sasha and Sadhu the dogs as well as Snowy, Levi, Yoshi and Simba the cats.
The children and school staff were given the chance to make donations towards the shelter and were really pleased with the response, as were the staff from Bryson’s.
In total £43 was donated to the shelter alongside toys and food.
