Outdoor Learning Day November 2018
What a busy outdoor learning day we have had.

Early Years
Early Years have been reading the story 'The Room on the Broom', the went out on to their own outdoor area to collect items and then went into the 'Splat Zone' to make potions.
Class 1
Class 1 painted pumpkins on the 'Splat Zone' windows, they enjoyed a pumpkin hunt in the adventure play area and then had spooky stories in the hobbit house with hot dogs.
Class 2
Class 2 went into the 'Hive' to collect leaves to make our hedgehog pictures and played on the 'Adventure Trail' for our sensory integration session.
Class 3
Class 3 played hide and seek looking for Halloween things in the 'Discovery Park'.
Class 4
Class 4 joined class 9 in the Hobbit house for a story. They read Room on the broom then hunted around the discovery park for some of the items the witch lost on her journey.
On their outside area they created their own potions mixing washing up liquid, bicarbonate of soda, vinegar, lemonade and lots of other things together to make them bubble and froth.
Class 5
Class 5 have been on the Discovery Park collecting some sticks and twigs to make a witches broomstick . The then measured the broomsticks
They did a pumpkin experiment, he children used baking powder , vinegar and soapy water to see the pumpkin ‘explode’ .
Class 6
Class 6 looked closely at autumn leaves, they made leaf rubbings and animal pictures.
Class 7
Class 7 went on a hunt around the adventure trail, finding spiders and ghosts. Then had fun blowing and chasing bubbles.
Class 8
Class 8 looked for animals in gloop.
Class 9
Class 9 enjoyed listening to the story ‘Room on the Broom’ in the Hobbit House with Class 4. They went on a scavenger hunt around the Discovery Park, looking for the different parts of the story to put on our story maps.
Class 10
Class 10 listened to Webster Witch sensory story.
Class 11
Class 11 used the scooters for Physical 15 to follow an obstacle course.
They also enjoyed playing wolf and rabbit chase game, the wolf has to catch all the rabbits tails.
