GREAT NORTH RUN
We would like to say a massive well done and thank you to one of our parents for completing the Great North Run to raise funds for our school.
Veronica finished the run on the 12th of September in three hours and twenty four minutes with some injuries and virtually no training.
After much support from the Autism outreach team and then her daughter securing a place in our school, Veronica said she
“wanted to give something back”
and by raising funds she said she
"was able to donate the money from our family to yours”.
Veronica raised an outstanding £601.89, included was an anonymous donation of £100 the day after she did the event.
Our school council had their first meeting of the year, they decided they would like some equipment to use at playtimes.
The money Veronica has raised is going towards the purchase of the equipment, some of the suggestions from the school council included equipment such as footballs, tennis, hula hoops, basketball nets, skipping ropes and space hoppers.
The list has been presented to John and as soon as we have the equipment we will share photographs of the children enjoying playing with it.
Thanks again Veronica and everyone who sponsored her.
