Columbia Grange School

Little Steps, Big Aspirations For All

Extra curricular clubs

We have had great success with our lunchtime and after school clubs this half term.

Staff choose and alternate children to attend various lunchtime clubs and letters are sent out every half term for parents to apply for after school clubs.

Here is some information and lovely photographs of the children enjoying some of our physical clubs.

Rugby Session

We have recently welcomed the 'All Star Rugby' company into school,  our coaches Reece and Dan lead sessions for the children to be able to develop rugby skills through play such as tagging, passing games and running.  The children have really enjoyed this new sport at Columbia Grange.

Judo KS1 and KS2

Judo is a rigorous and demanding physical activity. The practice of judo techniques helps children develop basic and fundamental physical fitness in a number of ways, such as the development of strength, flexibility, agility, speed, dynamic and static balance, explosive power, and endurance. The practice of active attack and defence helps develop reaction time, coordination, and overall physical self-confidence. Judo students become physically bigger, stronger, and faster through their practice of judo. It has also helped to make the children more confident and helps with team building.

Our coach Kev adapts the techniques in order to make it easier for our pupils.
